Wins and podium finishes at Ironman, 70.3, Olympic, ITU, and Collegiate Racing
DELRAY BEACH, FL – November 30, 2015 – The professional athletes represented by fortyninegroup have collectively wrapped an outstanding 2015 race season highlighted by 11 overall event wins and 23 podiums, and most notably, a third place finish at the IRONMAN World Championship.

Timothy O’Donnell’s season was highlighted by a third-place finish at the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, HI. He was also the top American finisher at Kona. His five podium finishes also included a win at the Mooloolaba Triathlon, a second-place finish at IRONMAN Brazil where he completed the race in 7:55, second at IRONMAN 70.3 Brasilia, and second at IRONMAN 70.3 Timberman.
Lauren Goss was on the podium at 8 of her 9 races. Her wins included IRONMAN 70.3 St. Croix, IRONMAN 70.3 Ecuador, IRONMAN 70.3 Silverman, Beijing International Tri, Challenge San Gil, and Challenge Florida. She was second at Escape from Alcatraz and the New York City Tri. At four events she logged the fastest run time among the women, and in Ecuador she set the course record.
Joe Maloy finished his season as the first American to win the Noosa Triathlon in Queensland, Australia. He raced 11 ITU events with top-10 finishes at the Cozumel World Cup (7th) and New Plymouth World Cup (10th). He is currently in second place in the objective ranking system for US Olympic Triathlon Qualification for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Rudy Von Berg repeated as the USA Triathlon Collegiate National Champion (2014 & 2015), won Challenge San Gil, and finished 2nd in the USA Triathlon Under-23 National Championships, at the same time placing 14th in the World rankings.
Drew Scott, the 2012 USA Triathlon Amateur Athlete of the Year, was third at IRONMAN 70.3 St. Croix. He had five additional top-10 finishes including Escape from Alcatraz and IRONMAN 70.3 New Orleans, Racine, Cozumel, and Sliverman.
Justin Metzler, the 2014 USA Triathlon Pro Rookie of the Year, is a recent addition to the fortyninegroup athlete roster. In 2015, he had four podium finishes out of 9 races: Challenge Knoxville, IRONMAN 70.3 Buffalo Springs, IRONMAN 70.3 Calgary, and Challenge Florida.
